Assists the Manager, Marketing, Communications & Member Learning Programs with the communications, and outreach activities of the organization in support of policies, goals and objectives established by the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Content Creation
Develops culturally competent video, digital and printed content for use by the Association and member health centers in pursuit of their missions, including:
Patient recruitment
Provider recruitment
Patient education
Health promotion
Community health thought leadership
Newsletter
Assists in content creation, curation and editing for the Association’s bi-monthly e-newsletter.
Social Media
Manages the Association’s current and future social media channels. Monitors media for appropriate content and trends and develops and deploys posts both in real-time and on a planned schedule.
Event and Celebration Planning and Promotion
Participates in the planning and execution of Association sponsored events, such as annual meetings, awards and “weeks.”
Podcast Planning and Scheduling
Working with the CEO and Manager, create a Podcast Schedule and assist in guest recruitment, preparation, and finalization of Podcast to ensure timely release. Tracks analytics and reports to Association leadership.
Association Representation
Represents the Association, as requested, on various workgroups and committees, including VCHA communications groups, NACHC and state of Virginia groups.
Web Updates
Makes immediate and simple updates to the Association website as needed.
Medicaid Enrollment Outreach Support
Collaborates with Communications and Outreach staff to develop Association and enrollment assistance messaging.
Establishes and maintains relationships with partners and other outreach organizations.
Supports the state’s enrollment coordinators and navigators by providing them with communications tools as needed.
Works collaboratively with Grants Manager to prepare outreach & enrollment progress reports.
Administrative and Office Support Activities
Word processing and page layout
Creating and editing presentations and publications
Creating and editing spreadsheets
Creating digital content
Data entry
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 2 – 4 years’ experience in a similar role.

Experience with design and video editing software, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects.
Experience with photography and videography.
Ability to work with database software efficiently and accurately.
Ability to conduct Internet research and report findings.
Some experience with computer software related to marketing, publishing, web development, web servers, communications, and graphics.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical manuals, and government regulations.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to inquiries from members, vendors, elected officials, regulatory agencies, and the general public.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have valid Virginia driver’s license and others as appropriate.

WORK HOURS
This is a full-time 40 hours per week position. The employee will work 8 hours per day on an adjusted schedule from a start of 7:00 am to a finish of 6:00 pm. Hybrid model includes 3 days in office, two days remote.
Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VCHA) is a non-profit membership organization that serves as the primary care association for Virginia’s thirty community health centers and look-alike health centers. Membership in VCHA is open to all Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alikes operating delivery sites in Virginia. VCHA supports our health centers in their mission to provide access to health care regardless of geographic location or ability to pay.
