POSITION SUMMARY:
Virginia Community Healthcare Association is seeing a part-time Medical Recruiter responsible for full lifecycle candidate recruiting. Ability to multi-task, have a sense of urgency, and be forward-thinking. The ideal candidate will have experience sourcing both passive and active candidates for non-profit healthcare centers throughout the Virginia Commonwealth area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSITILITIES:
- Sources candidates through VCHA job board, databases, job fairs, networking, referrals, and other creative candidate sourcing strategies.
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract, screen, and hire quality healthcare and C-Suite professionals.
- Screen resumes and CVs for clinical roles and conduct phone screens as needed to evaluate employment factors such as job experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities, and other data pertinent to classification, selection, and referral.
- Pre-screens resumes, conducts initial interviews, and evaluates candidates’ suitability for presentation to hiring managers.
- Evaluate and confirm medical credentials and licenses.
- Provide detailed summaries and recommendations of top candidates to hiring managers for consideration.
- Schedule interviews for candidates with hiring manager and senior leadership.
- Assign and place clinicians at healthcare clinics/and other medical facilities.
- Create and maintain professional relationships with hiring managers and executives in order to maintain strong relationships.
WORK HOURS:
This is a part-time 20-25 hours per week position. The employee work 8 hours per day on an adjusted schedule from a start of 7:00 am to a finish of 6:00 pm
QUALIFICATION:
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of Clinical recruiting experience required.
- Mid-level recruiting to include Physicians, NPs, PAs, Dentist, Hygienist, Nurses, Behavioral Health Providers, and others.
- Experience in non-profit healthcare organizations (preferred).
- Knowledge of employment laws and hiring practices a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
- Must have strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to speak with prospective candidates as well as health center hiring personnel.
- Strong understanding of MS Office applications, and familiarity with various recruiting sources and tools.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize multiple on-going projects in a fast- paced, environment.
